Dark Ride Rollercoaster (One Room)
This piece was probably one of my favorite projects to work on. I’m bias since the theme for the project is the one I proposed. I thought it would be fun to build a ride based off the concept of the multiverse, since the concept is becoming more popular in sci-fi spaces. Each person in the class (there was only eight of us) got to design a concept for our own room, which would take the passengers through eight different dimensions. My room was the last room in the sequence and served as a grand finale and end credits. I wanted to really drive home the multiverse concept, so I wanted to create a space where the audience could look at all the different dimensions and even see some new ones. I chose to display these dimensions as bubbles, and the actual effect would be projected onto the walls and mesh screening as seen in the booklet above. I created a sample of what would be projected onto the walls in Adobe After Effects and have the sample linked.
As of now, I do not have access to any of my classmate’s rooms and work so I cannot show the whole project, but I am trying to get my hands on it so the whole project can be viewed in its entirety.
